Home School Diary

Big Talk homework is given every other week alongside the rest of KS1 Big Write.
Big Talk images will be put on the blog on a Thursday for the following Friday. The idea is to talk about what you can see happening in the picture. Can you think of a sentence or two to describe what you can see? You can place the sentence you have scribed for your child, into the comment box pressing publish. I will then have to read the comment before publication; so do not worry if it doesn’t appear on the blog straight away.

Read Write Inc Home sound books are sent home Monday- Thursday.

ORT Books and Class Library Books are sent home a minimum of three times. The children are heard reading everyday; and can independently change their class library books as many times as they like.

Home-school diary

Mrs Beard will set little optional activities for you to do at home with your child. The activities will link to specific areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. They will also link in with what we have been learning in school and will extend your child’s learning further.

Please feel free to write in any ‘wow’ moments that your child has done at home. For example; they listened for longer, put their own coat on and zipped it up, waited patiently, recognised numbers, kept on trying etc.

These comments from you to me all contribute to your child’s end of year assessment and will help to inform me in planning for their next steps in their learning.

Fraser Bear

Fraser goes home with a child that is friendly and kind during the week.
