Wow what a week !

Mrs Skinner erected space disks in our climbing tree and the very next day the children discovered the astronauts….. Look Mrs Beard has a number 1.

 

The children decided the newly discovered astronauts needed a rocket. Cue a playground full of blue, orange and pink powder paint and children who had paint everywhere other than their actual aprons.

Look how smart our rocket looks! Two boys decided there were too many astronauts to fit inside just one rocket so a wooden one was swiftly built.

 The children have loved reading ‘Little Rabbit foo foo’ so much so I think they can read it without opening the pages. But we have been thinking where the Goonie goes at the end of the story?

After much discussion the children think the Goonie must have gone to live on the Moon just like the Baboon ! But they need to think how they can get him back down to ‘Earth’.

Reception have been busy making invites and a banner to be displayed in the hall for Stickney C Of E school’s Macmillan Coffee morning. A small group of children designed our logo choosing two different colour greens to decorate the cups… The girls loved getting their hands dirty and made beautiful handprints.

 

Thursday brought the making of lots of scrummy cakes to sell and some beautifully iced and decorated cakes for our morning snack. The children even remembered to make Mrs Beard, Mrs Skinner and Mrs Smith a cake….. we cannot wait to sample them !
